Q: Why did my Owl Cam power off? 

A: The Owl Cam will power off if your car's battery voltage is low or if you have not driven for over 24 hours to protect your car's battery.

Q: My camera wont power ON?

A: 

  • Make sure the Magnetic Power Cable is fully seated and snapped into the Owl Car Cam’s magnetic connector.  
  • Make sure the OBD Power Adapter is fully inserted into the OBD Port on your vehicle.
  • Make sure the Magnetic Power Cable is attached to the OBD Power Adapter.
  • Use a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol to clean any debris on the magnetic connectors on Magnetic Power Cable, OBD Power Adapter, and Owl Car Cam. 
  • Try installing in the Owl Car Cam in another vehicle to confirm if the problem is with your vehicle's OBD Port or the camera and cables.
  • Contact customer support for a replacement parts. 

Q: One of the cameras is not working.

A: Press and hold the reset button on the Owl Car Cam. 

Make sure nothing is obstructing the the camera’s lens. 

Q: Device is not receiving an LTE connection.

A: If you're in a parking structure, underground, or in the wilderness, you may lose your LTE signal. Once you're back in cell coverage your Owl
Car Cam will begin sending over any clips you created to your Owl Car Cam app.  

Q: My Owl Car Cam is not recognizing my voice.

A: Ambient noises may interfere with the microphone’s ability to identify the magic words. Try closing the windows or turning off the radio in your vehicle.

If you’re Owl is having issues naming the clip, be sure that you’re in an LTE coverage zone.     

Q: Unable to pair device to phone.

A: Close the Owl Car Cam app (double tap the home button on your iPhone and then swipe up to close the app) then reopen it.

Q: Owl Car Cam screen is frozen or not responding to touch. 

A: Press and hold the reset button on the Owl Car Cam.
